Colors and smiles filled the university campus as the Liceolympics started last February 19, 2019. Students, athletes, committees and house coordinators wore their respective house color; Parmenie as the Mighty Griffins in color green, Paris as the Golden Chimera wearing the yellow shirts, Rheims as the Blazing Phoenixes in red, and Rouen as the Blue Hydras in blue shirts. Screams and claps could be heard inside the University Coliseum as the Cheer Dance and Bleachers Competition officially began. The house of the Blazing Phoenixes dominated the three houses; Parmenie, Paris, Rouen respectively in the said competition. Gorgeous and witty ladies of different houses are introduced too, to be the next Ms. Liceolympics. The 4 pretty ladies exhibited their talents and wit but only one could wear the crown and that is Ms. Angelica Ortillo from the House of Rheims.

The following days let the students practice sportsmanship as varying sports were played inside the campus. Basketball men of the Blue Hydras maintained the title and became the champions in 3 consecutive years, but their sportsmanship was tested when their first battle with the Chimeras was not as good as they expected, for their star player was being prohibited playing for its unpleasant behavior. In the women’s category the House of Parmenie was claimed as the champions beating the three houses; Rouen, Paris and Rheims respectively. Blazing Phoenixes top the women’s volleyball and the Golden Chimeras on the other category. Rackets and shuttlecocks were owned by the Blue Hydras as they beat the other houses in badminton. Family day and Hip-hop Competition was held on the last day of the Liceolympics and the champions were from the House of Rheims. All these games, sports and events only one house could be entitled as the Champions of Liceolympics and the House Cup that would be from the House of Blazing Phoenixes- Rheims, where they really did rise from the ashes.

It was a week full of different and educational experiences as Liceolympics taught the students to practice good sportsmanship and dedication to be champions. Trials and difficulties were nothing when everyone unites and do hard work. The sports fest unfold the blinds as it shows that there will be always winners and not losers but instead you need to strive more to be the next winners. Losing does not mean you should end your will too but it opens your eyes to a much better opportunity. Everyone is a winner itself as long as you know you did your very best. And this success will not be possible if you are not looking back where you came from and of course from God above.
