Speak-up and Unlock the Chains

by: bernardez and gelarso

Sexual violence has come in different types which include all forms of sexual assault, rape, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment and sexual exploitation. The rate of the abused and sexually harassed women has rapidly increased for the past few years. Many women are being physically, verbally and sexually abused in the streets, offices, schools and even in their own homes. Rape, catcalling, domestic violence, name calling such as slut, whore, a hoe, and forced for cybersex – these are some of what women experience, and it needs to be stopped.

Women never ask to be raped and harassed, rapists assumed the wrong way.

Women as explained are the main target of this violence for they believe that men are superior than women. Everyone must understand and know that sexual violence against women have tremendous impacts on the victim including anyone from the family. Creating this advocacy will protect the women’s right and to lessen cases of traumas that will eventually cause depression and will lead to enormous suicidal cases. People are being irrational nowadays. We should take an action. Be an advocate of Anti-Sexual Violence Against Women.

As a concerned citizen of this country, we should take actions against sexual violence, our generation has been very dangerous, because Women are more likely to have personally been subject to sexual harassment and it seems woke men aren’t really that woke because if they (including myself) are really woke up, we ain’t doing such things to conduct sexual violence to our women, and in my opinion sexual violence needs to be stop.
